Government of Bermuda Invites Proposals to Revolutionize Job Search and Readiness Platform

The Minister of Economy and Labour is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for innovative developers and firms to participate in enhancing Bermuda’s employment landscape.

Through a newly issued Request for Proposals (RFP), the Government is seeking to replace the current Bermuda Job Board with a state-of-the-art website designed to better serve the evolving needs of both job seekers and employers.

The Department of Workforce Development is spearheading this initiative, recognizing the need for a modern, user-friendly platform that will significantly improve the job search experience, streamline recruitment processes for employers, and bolster workforce readiness across the island.

“We are committed to empowering Bermuda’s workforce and supporting our local employers with the best tools available,” explained Minister of Economy and Labour Jason Hayward. “This new platform will be a cornerstone in our strategy to enhance job readiness and employment outcomes, providing seamless access to opportunities, training resources, and career guidance.”

The envisioned website will offer a robust set of features to meet the diverse needs of the community:

• Advanced Job Board: A user-friendly job board that efficiently connects job seekers with employers, featuring intuitive search functions and real-time updates.
• Reporting Functionality: Tools for employers and job seekers to track progress, analyze trends, and make informed decisions.
• Easy Navigation: A design focused on accessibility and simplicity, ensuring that users of all skill levels can easily navigate the site.
• Access to Micro Courses: Quick, targeted educational modules to help users upskill and stay competitive in the job market.
• Career Pathway Videos: A comprehensive catalogue of videos that guide job seekers through various career options, helping them visualize and plan their professional journeys.

The Government calls on experienced web developers and design firms to submit proposals demonstrating innovation, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of the employment sector’s needs.

Minister Hayward continued, “This is more than just a website; it’s a critical tool for economic empowerment, aligning with the Government’s broader mission to equip Bermudians with the resources they need to succeed in a dynamic job market.”

Interested proponents are encouraged to review the full details of the RFP, which outlines the specific deliverables and requirements. Proposals will be evaluated based on their ability to deliver a solution that meets the highest functionality, security, and user experience standards.
